Areas of Responsibility-
Councilwoman Jackie Hambrick works with the City of Clay Environmental Committee, Seniors Advisory Board, Library Board
and Sign Ad Hoc Committee.
I have been a citizen of Clay for ten years. As the City of Clay grows, I see an increased need for leadership in the specific planning of the city’s development. The needs of the citizens should be facilitated through aggressive participation in the Clay schools, the Clay seniors, Clay’s neighborhoods and parks.
Protection of the citizens, city finances, and Clay’s natural
resources must be evaluated and adequately provided. I desire to represent the voice of the citizens of Clay by participating on the city council.
I am the mother of two daughters and a son who graduated from Clay-Chalkville High School. I attended Valdosta State College in Valdosta, Georgia and Jefferson State College in Birmingham, Alabama. Being employed by the John R. White Company for twenty years has given me great experience in business, accounting and public relations. I am an appointed member of the Jefferson County Historical Commission and serve to preserve historical structures and recognize historical accomplishments. I participate in the leadership of the Clay Historical Society serving as the Vice President. Now serving on the City of Clay’s Library committee, I have had the great opportunity for the past year to facilitate the restoration and establishment of the Jayfe Ware House as Clay’s future library. As a member of Clayridge Baptist Church for the past eight years, I serve in the church’s leadership. |
