Areas of Responsibility-
Councilwoman Jackie Hambrick is the liaison for Community Development, Seniors, Environmental and Historical interests for the City of Clay.
Personal-
My family consists of three children: daughters Dare, Edan, son-in-law Mark and son Daniel, along with two granddaughters, Hayden and Merritt. Clay has been my home for 15 years.
Education-
I attended Valdosta State College three years and Jefferson
State Community College. I have earned the Basic and
Advanced Certified Municipal Official designation due to 80
hours of training in municipal government courses provided by
the Alabama League of Municipalities.
Work-
I am employed and have worked for a food ingredients company for 23 years, holding positions in accounting, logistics, customer and technical service. This experience has been a great benefit
in problem solving, project planning and public relations.
Community Service-
I serve as a Jefferson County Historical Commissioner, Clay
Historical Society Trustee, Clay Library Committee member. I formerly served as a Sunday School Director and a P.T.A. president.
My Pledge-

manner in word, action and deed.
-- To protect and safeguard the citizens, their personal property
and their well-being with every available means.
-- To seek new ways to improve the community specifically and as
a whole.
-- To be financially responsible for my decisions where city funds
are allocated and spent.
-- To listen to the citizens and act upon their needs and their
concerns.
-- To complete projects in a timely and orderly manner.
-- To preserve Clay’s irreplaceable and unique heritage. |
