Areas of Responsibility-
Council Woman Becky Johnson is a voting member of the
Planning and Zoning Commission. She also is the liaison to the
School Committee. She is responsible for overseeing commercial interests in the City. Contact her if you want your property annexed into the City. Becky Johnson was appointed to the
City Council in February 2010.
Personal-
I have lived in this great city for thirty-five years. My husband,
A.J. Johnson, and I have two adult children, Bo Johnson and Kimberly Johnson. Bo and his wife Khristie, with their four
children, live in the local area.
Education-
I am a graduate of Houston High School in Houston, Miss. I also graduated from business college in Memphis, Tenn.
Work-
I have owned and managed Rebecca J's, a gift shop in Clay, for eleven years. For 24 years, I worked for the Jefferson County Board of Education in a variety of positions.
I also helped to organize the Clay Area Chamber of Commerce in 2004. I served as the first president and serve now as the current president. |
