City of Clay Community Development Committee

Recent Work:

Councilor Mark Halstead and city employees have been surveying the empty commercial spaces to prepare for attracting businesses to Clay. He has also been meeting with some businesses who have shown interest in locating in Clay.

Soon, this committee will start working on identifying properties that are not in the city limits of Clay but are surrounded by properties that are inside the boundaries. The goal will be to "fill in the holes."
 
Responsibilities:
This committee looks fo ways the city can build the business sector in the city. Additionally, this committee oversees annexations, particularly with the goal of filling in the pockets of the city's boundaries.
