Information for Volunteers and Donors

In reading the following information, this
Tornado Damage Map or directions of how to get to Clay may be helpful.

Volunteers: The cialtty is now asking for volunteers who are experienced chainsaw experts or have Bobcats and can operate them. Also, we need volunteers to help in the donation center. If you can help with this, please call 680-1253.

We will announce on Facebook when the next big volunteer day is for disaster area clean up.

Donations: Anyone wanting to help with monetary donations can do this through SouthPoint Bank. Please write checks to "Clay Chalkville Christian Relief Inc." and send to P.O. Box 102, Clay, AL 35048 or call 503-5030. Donations can be made in person at the Colonnade, Gardendale and Trussville SouthPoint Bank branches or at City Hall.

The items needed for recovery work and tornado victims change often. Please check our Facebook page and Clay Recovery website for the latest on what items are being accepted at any given time. Some items are not being accepted now but may be needed as the survivors find a home. If you would like to donate an item that is not listed on Facebook or on the Clay Recovers website, please fill out this form so we will know you have the item when it is needed.

Food: Clayridge Baptist Church will offer lunch to recovery workers and tornado survivors on February 20-23. Stay in touch with us on Facebook to see when we may need more food or when and where others are offering food.

Lost and Found: Items found that may belong to tornado suvivors should be put in a plastic bag, if possible, and brought to City Hall.

Communication and Coordination: Please "like" us on Facebook to keep up with the latest information and instructions. Call City Hall at 205-680-1223 or 205-680-1253 if you have questions.
