Friends of Clay Library
Recent Work-
The Friends of Clay Library have been working toward having a successful Clay Library Grand Opening, planning the refreshments and the activities on that day.
They are also planning a successful promotion at the Clay May Days on May 8.
Function-
In assisting the library director and the City of Clay Library Board is a group of volunteers called the Friends of Clay Library. Although they have no authority over the library operations, they are extremely valuable in making sure patrons are served well.
Individuals from this group can be seen at the library, helping patrons find material, answering questions, checking out material and many other services. When a special event is planned at the library, the Friends of Clay Library help with refreshments. They also plan to sponsor fundraisers.
To become a member, all that is needed is your name and contact information. A small donation is appreciated. Contact Lisa Halstead at 680-1250 for more information.
