The Clay Cougars 8-and-under All Stars team will be traveling to Southaven, Miss. on July 23 to represent our park, city, community, and the Sate of Alabama in the 2010 Dizzy Dean World Serie.
To help pay for travel and lodging cost, the team has been doing lots of fundrasiers. They are holding a carwash at Clayridge Baptist Church on Old Springville Road and the Texaco at Sweeney Hollow Road on July 17. The team will also be bagging groceries at Piggly Wiggly on July 18.
We wish these young athletes much success as they represent our city.
