The Clay Public Library has arranged for author Clyde Bolton to speak at the Clay Senior Activity Center on Tuesday, September 20.
He will also saign copies of his newest book, Hadacol Days. Books will be on sale for $25.
Refreshments will be served.
This new book is a memoir of Bolton's younger days growing up in a southern town in the '40s and '50s. Bolton is the dean of Southern sports columnists and the author of six novels and a dozen nonfiction books about football, auto racing, and other subjects. Over a journalism career spanning five decades, he became one of the most widely read and respected writers in the region.
