Litter, litter everywhere!
On roadways, parking lots, parks, streams. Even full bags of trash are seen from time to time alongside roads in our city. Your city officials and city environmental committee are trying to get the litter problem under control.
You may have seen people cleaning up litter and trash along Clay’s roadways during the week of January 25th. The contract laborers picked up 1.67 tons of trash from Clay’s main roadways at a cost to the city of over $3,000. That is money that could have been used for road maintenance or other needs.
