Recent Work-
In the last few months, the Clay Seniors Advisory Board has been looking into the purchase of a high top van or bus for the senior center's use. We have an overflow of folks when we go out on day trips, etc. We have also been planning our spring yard sale which will include the whole Clay community. This will be an opportunity for outreach for the Center.
We are planning our Showcase of Clay Businesses right now. We plan to have one business a month come by the Center, introduce themselves and their business and tell everyone what their business offers for the community.
Function-
The City of Clay Seniors Advisory Board provides support and feedback to Senior Activity Center Director Linda Love as to the planned activities at the center. They work to form a proposed budget for the operation of the senior activity center.
This group had a large role in pushing for and overseeing design and construction of the additions to the Senior Activity Center completed in summer of 2008.
The board meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center.
