The Clay Senior Activity Center, under the direction of Linda Love, is recognized regionally for its outstanding program that includes a wide variety of activities, entertainment and trips; as well as a hot noon-time meal. The center provides a place where any senior adult can find a friend, a listening ear, a warm hug and feel a sense of being loved. Newcomers may be surprised to get a pigeon show.
Helping Linda is Beth Petty and Linda Plummer.
Because of its favorable reputation, the center draws seniors from many surrounding communities. It also provides a wealth of knowledge and support for the many concerns of today’s seniors, including dementia caregiver support.
The Senior Activity Center Calendar is full of activities. Attendance at the center often exceeds 30.
The center is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. We serve a hot lunch each day for only $1. Anyone age 60 or older can join. The center offers ClassTran transportation to the center for current members but are not able to offer this to new members at this time.

Thanks to the tireless work of Linda Love, the seniors at the center and Jefferson County Commission, recently the center added more space to accomodate the growing crowd who attend every day.
Some come to learn more about computers, some come to socialize, and some come to beat their peers at a game of cards.
A pool table is at the center, along with some excercise equipment.
Director Linda Love can be reached at 681-0238. The Senior Activity Center is also available for function rentals at $75 for three hours, as long as the group abides by the User Agreement.
The City of Clay Seniors Advisory Board discusses matters related to the center and make recommendations to the Clay City Council.
Check out these photos of our seniors at the center or on their trips.
