The City of Clay Streets, Sanitation and Public Works Committee works hard to make sure the roads are maintained, grass is cut, litter is picked up and residents are receiving the best value in utility services.
Over the last year, this committee did a review of all the streets in the city to grade them as to their condition. As a result, some roads have been repaved. This committee has a policy of repaving some roads twice a year, as funds are available, to make sure problems don't accumulate.
Some roads in the city fall under the Jefferson County responsibility. In those cases, this committee works with the county to notify them of county roads inside the city borders which need attention.
This committee meets at City Hall as needed.
Members of this committee are:
Chairman Kevin Small
Dean Kirkner
Mark Halstead
James Harbison
Councilman Kevin Small is the liaison between this committee and the Clay City Council.
